VoteFone was founded by Dorsey West, a political scientist and telecom industry veteran who got his start in politics doing grass roots, get-out-the vote work in 1992. He has worked extensively in local, state, and national government as well as Fortune 50 corporations. In 2005, he combined his unique political, business, and technological background to create and launch VoteFone, a service that monitors voter response to political advertising while connecting undecided voters and candidates in a more personal manner via the telephone. His goal is to make the political process more inclusive for all citizens, utilizing user-friendly technology. Dorsey West holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Tennessee State University and a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Systems from DePaul University. VoteFone is a privately owned company, with offices in Chicago and Miami.
